That, the two major party candidates have more similarities then differences is gradually coming out. That was the message of the final debate. In fact, the political party establishments are very close. They both want to be in power. If they address meaningful subjects in a meaningful way, they run the risk of defections. The political culture has taught these candidates and their parties, so-called, that it is more profitable for their immediate personal goal of acquiring power, to not run those risks. That is why we must have new and better defined political parties.
